My Mother spent a lifetime looking after others, while they were children her brother Alan and sister Audrey, then later in life her parents Albert and Gladys Morris who she all loved so very much. She was a devoted wife to husband Dennis and their life together was full of family fun. In addition to her relations in Wrexham and Stoke, my Dads family Eric, Pauline, Pat and Audrey were and always have been there when needed. Then came the big challenge, me! If I had a pound for every time I've been threatened with a "clip round the earhole" I'd be richer than most. Never-the-less my mum and dads guidance have helped me to be the person I am today, there's a lot of both of them in me which makes me proud. Over recent years her love for grandchildren Ben and Becky has been inspiring and a bond created that could never be equalled. There's not a single person left in Stannington who hadn't heard about how wonderful they both were, what a lovely feeling this was for me. Over the last ten years the relationship with my wife Sarah has grown and grown, they are firm friends and always ( along with Ben and Becky ) enjoyed ganging together to pick on me, well mostly I deserved it. Doreen and Dennis Dronfield are together again and for that we are all happy, but my mums baking, plant care, generosity, love of cricket and overall brilliance will be missed by us all. Paul

A truly wonderful person that i had the privilege to know. I have so many special memories of the times me and Doreen shared together whether it was a trip to the shops or sitting and listening to her fantastic stories about her life. They reinforced what everybody remembered about her, that she cared for us so very much. Doreen, its only me, love ya, Sarah xx

Not a day goes by where I dont think about my nan, so many happy memories of her. One thing I always remember is how kind she was, she would go out of her way to help anyone, especially me and Becky. You couldn't say a bad word about her. She has played a major part in the way i have grown up. Thanks Nan, Love you always
