Will alwys remember Ron smoking a cigar and listening to the Beatles :) I was reminded today of his brilliant art work , we always had the giggles when we saw his paintings to naked ladies. Lots of love to you Helen x

    Thoughts

A few words about Ron (by Mike Horlov) Unique is the theme, not in any order of quality. A good husband A good father A good friend to all of us He was caring and a mentor to many. He was also an awkward bastard and at times graded 'tre difficile' especially when it came to politics. As we all know he lent his hand to many skills - only to list a few- 1 photographer 2 cyclist 3 artist 4 rock climber 5 mountaineer 6 sailor 7 pretend rally driver The lover of a cuban cigar and a good whisky He was a person that you could ultimately trust to hold your ropes. It is impossible to imagine the kind of person he might have become had he not become involved in his skills except to say that he probably would have been different. These skills gave him a vehicle through which to expand his social horizons. He was able to travel and share intense experiences with a unique group of friends and individuals. Thank you Ron from all of us for our time together.

Thank you to everyone who has written about Ron, shared photographs or donated. We are overwhelmed by your generosity - a further £400 was raised at the funeral. Please do continue to add stories and reminiscences to enable us as a family to find out more about the remarkable Ron. Love and thanks to you all, Hilary (Ron's widow).
