Susanne was born in 1943 and grew up in Cumbria. Happily married to Bob for 50 years and loving mother to Paul and Steve. Sue was a doting Grandma to Jenny, Mel, Lois, Immy & Fergus. She was passionate about education working for over 30 years as a teacher, headmistress and early years advisor in Sheffield. In her final days she received wonderful care from the whole team at St Luke's in Dore, Sheffield. It was her wish that anyone wanting to send flowers should instead make donations in her memory via this tribute. Equally it would be wonderful for friends to simply leave their memories, comments and wishes about Susanne

    Thoughts

Thank-you to everyone who supported my Yorkshire Warrior Challenge by donating either online through Sue's tribute fund or with a cash donation [which raised £100 and was sent two weeks ago]. Sue was truly a Warrior in the elegant and upbeat way she dealt with her cancer. My wonderful sister, always in my memory

You were the ultimate professional Sue and contributed so much to education in Sheffield as a teacher, Headteacher and as Adviser for Early Years in Sheffield. You were well respected by t teachers and Headteachers for your knowledge and understanding of the Early Years. You were a great colleague for all of us in the Inspection and Advisory Service. Thank you Sue on behalf of Sheffield for your dedication and professionalism . A real lady and we loved you lots.

Wonderful, gorgeous lady who cared for everyone. Huge hole in my life; but you have left me with so many uplifting and happy memories. Love you to bits Sue. X

I think I'm still in shock that you left. I always admired your innate ability to be an assertive strong woman while at the same time remain uncompromisingly feminine and stylish to the point of glamorous. Thank you for so many memories too numerous to mention.
