Ben passed away on September 9th 2015 in St. Luke's Hospice. At the end of his life this is where Ben wanted to be surrounded by his family and friends and feeling safe and secure in the supportive and caring environment that St. Luke's offered. Ben is missed so much by his family and many friends. Ben will be remembered for his dry sense of humour, his witty banter, his untidiness, his tattoo's, his inappropriate T shirts, his love of music and football and his love of cats. But most of all Ben will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, the happiness he enjoyed when surrounded by his friends and the positive and courageous attitude he had, when faced with the worst of situations, he continued to live his life as fully as possible. Ben will be in our hearts forever.

This year marks 10 years since we lost Ben to cancer – a much-loved husband, dad, son, brother, and friend. To honour his memory, a group of riders cycled from Ben’s home in Nottingham to The Broadfield in Sheffield, the pub where he once worked and a place filled with lots of happy memories.
