Anyone who knew Carol will remember how much she enjoyed writing and sharing her poetry with family and friends. Carol's family has recently put together some of her pieces of writing in a book of poems, with all donations going to St Luke's Hospice. Carol herself was always an enthusiastic supporter of St Luke's and she was often in and out of the St Luke's shops in Broomhill and Crookes. When Carol became ill she was cared for at home by the brilliant St Luke's Community Team. When the time came for her to go into the hospice, the family knew from the first moment just how great the care was going to be because everybody was so understanding, empathetic and friendly.

Through Eric Staniforth and his son Richard, my good friend from school, I have happy memories of meeting up with Carol and Danny. Richard has kindly passed on a copy of Carol's poems and I'm thoroughly enjoying reading them. It's wonderful to know that Carol received great care from St.Lukes which is such an amazing hospice. Long may it continue to deliver that extraordinary help to people.
