We first experienced Jim's special nature way back in 1968 and those unique characteristics simply got better and better with every passing year. Jim Bancroft, one big-hearted, love filled human being. Wow! What a legacy!

My oldest memory of meeting Jim goes back to a corporate day in 1988 with Potterton boilers at Aintree the day before the Grand National. We became close friends and enjoyed many social events over the years. Sadly we lost touch over the last few years but I have not lost those wonderful memories. Jim was always a true Gentleman and a privilege to know. Will be sadly missed.

John and I are so grateful for the wonderful hospitality and generosity that was shown to us as young Christians. Your obvious love for God and the way in which you shared your family life with us has been both an inspiration and a challenge and will never be forgotten. Thank you so much.

Not a day goes by where you are not thought of or mentioned in our house. From Isaac wondering what you're up to in heaven, thinking about you having a great time with the angels to Fliss talking about your kind heart and how she loved it when pop played tricks on them and made them laugh. There's too many memories to share but we are so glad that we got to have you as our father (there was never any in law in your mind as soon as I married Andy I was your daughter you often said it!) And Pop. We cant put into words how much you are missed and loved. We often say we wish we could see you just one more time.

Miss you so much Dad. Thank you for the life you gave me. Words can’t express how much you mean to me but I’m eternally grateful that we both had the opportunity to say some very precious words to each other in the final weeks. Hope you’re having a ball in heaven with the angels. Love you always. Steve x
