Pam Rawson
1941 - 2021 | Sheffield
Pam (Pamela) Rawson (nee Jalil) passed away on the 15th March 2021 after a short, but heroic battle with cancer. St Luke's were fabulous in their care for Pam and her family during her final weeks and this tribute fund has been set-up to raise money in Pam's memory as a small way to thank the wonderful staff and provide funds so that they are able to keep providing this amazing support for others.
Pam qualified as a nurse in 1974, working at the Northern General Hospital all of her career. Pam discovered a love for running in 1976, going on to join the Hallamshire Harriers and was the first female from Sheffield to compete in a marathon in 1979! Pam competed in Spain, France and America, including the New York full and ladies half a few times; and she completed 12 marathons in total, including London. With too many half marathons to count, her last one was Sheffield 2018 where she was the first over 70.
Pam was an amazing mom to Natalie and Nathan, grandmother, and friend to many - she literally lived life to the full, she was one in a million and we will all miss her terribly xx ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️ ️
