Dot was a loving and dedicated wife (now reunited after far too long apart), Mum, Nan, Sister, Auntie and friend. She sadly passed away on 16th April after a short and very brave battle with cancer. Loved by all who knew her, she will be remembered for her kind and loving nature, sharp wit, sense of humour and infectious laugh but mostly for her strong independent spirit which remained to the end. St Luke's were invaluable in providing support both to her and our whole family to fulfill her wish to remain at home, which became even more important to us in light of the Corona virus pandemic. Their support meant that Dot was able to pass away peacefully in her sleep with her daughter present who had taken the selfless step to move in with her ahead of the lockdown, devoting every minute to her care. Our whole family are so grateful to St Luke's and ask that you give whatever you can to their worthy cause. They really do make a huge difference. Thank you. Dot's funeral will be held on Thursday 14th May at 4.30pm. Sadly, due to the social distancing restrictions, this can only be attended by her closest family members. Family flowers only please and any donations to St Luke's either on this page or by cheque to Peace Funeral Directors, Halifax Road, Sheffield.
