Lily Croke passed away on 27 February 2017 and joined her beloved husband, Bill. She was the much loved mother of William, Laurence, Patricia, Michael and Robert (aka, to her at least, Billy, Larry, Pat, Michael and Robert!). As well as Grandma to 13 grandchildren and Great-Grandma to 16 great-grandchildren (though she was quick to point out that she'd always been a great Grandma, it was now merely official!). Anyone that knew Lily knew she often had a joke and a smile for anyone and was well loved by many, a fact that she often did not truly appreciate. During the last days of her life nursing staff from St Luke's were invaluable supporting Lily's family and helping to make her last days with us as comfortable as possible and so the family would like to give a little something back to say 'thank you' for all their help and support.

    Thoughts

I would like to thank St lukes palliative care team, for all the love and support they gave not only my mum but, myself also, especially Lee Evans, whom my mum thought the world of and looked forward to her visits, and who I knew I could turn to for help support and love. She made my mum's last few weeks happy ones. We will never forget her kindness.
