John was born and lived in Sheffield all his life. He loved his cups of tea, and spent his free time fishing with his family. He was a sarcastic and witty man that liked to keep everyone on their toes. A deeply missed dad, grandad, great-grandad, brother and uncle. John had been living with COPD and was cared for by St Luke's on and off for the last few years after numerous hospital visits and operations. While being cared for at St Luke's, John was mostly happy (though sometimes grumpy) - constantly joking, and laughing with the staff who has always been supportive and respectful through all his stays there, with nothing ever being too much trouble for them. As a family, we would like to thank the staff for providing the help, care, compassion, and time we needed towards the end. A great, caring team THANK YOU

My dad was poorly for a long time, for the last 8-12 months of his life he was cared for by the amazing staff at St Luke’s. My dad always had a smile on his face and couldn’t wait to tell me about his days in there! He was so well looked after, it put my mind at ease knowing he was settled. Even during covid staff always put 100% effort in! 9 months later and it still doesn’t feel real that he’s no longer here. Massive thank you to all the staff and those who left during my dads stay in 2021 x
