Rita will always be remembered for her love of life and determination to make the most of any opportunity. To think of her dancing with abandon to her favourite music will always bring a smile to those of us lucky enough to share those times with her. With quiet determination, she made things happen. In her last few years, her illness did not hold her back. Rather than hiding away and cushioning herself from harm, she went on some great trips and grabbed every opportunity to spend time and have fun with family and friends. I am sure we can all remember her gesticulating as she became more and more animated with every glass she drank. She has left a huge hole in all our lives but we will all have that special song or special place which will remind us of her. Let us remember her with a smile.

Rita was an amazing lady.She was fun to be with, kind, thoughtful and determined to lead life to the full. It was a joy to watch her dance, whatever the style she made it her own. She loved the sun and learnt Spanish to be able to converse in the quieter small villages of Spain. When she became more home based she learnt to knit, with occasional trips to the nearby wool shop for help. Nothing was too much of a challenge, hot air balloon trip, no problem. We will all miss her, and will treasure our own particular memories of a very special lady.

I am so glad to have met Rita (as I did on many occasions as a wonderful friend of my sister). She was so full of interest and enthusiam - for enjoyment, dancing, exploring, travel...to name but a few. Rita you were, and are, a true and bright inspiration to so many, in the way you participated fully in everything you did, grabbing the moment and engaging with life.

Thank you Rita for all the laughter, love and late, late night, wine fuelled, conversations.... Going away with Rita was always fun and often full of surprises - she was never one to shy away from a bit of adventure. Thoughts
Before covid I often used to chat to Rita at the gym where we did some of the same dance and yoga classes and was always uplifted by her positivity and vibrancy. My thoughts go out to all her friends and family who will miss such a lovely strong person so much.
